Dearest Father,

 

I am Hale and hearty and hope the same for you how has your work in Dehradun been?

 

While you were away a lot has happened here. Our society organised a cultural fest in the society park on 11th March. It was a beautiful two-evening celebration. The entrance was tastefully decorated; the stage was erected in the middle of the park and alongside the boundaries, few stalls were put by vendors.

 

Vaibhav and I  also participated in the fest. We performed a beautiful blend of Bollywood music and traditional Bhangra moves. Our performance was greatly appreciated by everyone.  There were several other performances too. Mr Sharma who is a news reporter covered the fest in his newspaper.

 

And guess what happened? A photo of me and Vaibhav dancing was there in the newspaper. From there on lady luck had quite a few gifts for us. That news article was read by the State Minister of Culture. He liked our idea of amalgamation of traditional dance and contemporary music.  He visited our society to offer us the opportunity to showcase our performance in the forthcoming  State Cultural Summit. Our performance was exceedingly good and we got a standing ovation. We felt like superstars. 

 

We missed you, papa. Come home soon.
